Want to thank all of you for your prayers for the youth group while we were at Lake Hope. It was a great week!!! We had one give her heart to the Lord and one re-dedicate her life to the Lord. The conferences were enlightening and the youth spent a great deal of time in the Word defining terms. From those discussions in our conferences, the youth would come up with questions on their own for the cabin devotions later that night. It was amazing some of the questions that they were coming up with. Some of the ones in my cabin were; What is numerology? What is Typology? If someone commits the unforgiveable sin, does that mean that there is no hope for them? Does God really wash His hands of them? What is predestination and who are the elect? It is awesome to see just how hungry the young people are for the Word of God. Thank you so much for your prayers while we were away, they were felt and they were answered.

I want us to continue looking at Ephesians 6:10. Last time I told you that this verse was two fold and gave you the first part of this two fold message. I want to share with you the second part and then move on. The one thing that we must remember is that as a believer we MUST put on the armor of God. Once we are strong within, once we have God’s power within, once we are strengthen in the power of His might, then we are ready to be clothed in the armor of God. However, there is one important fact to note here; no amount of armor is worth the material it is made of unless the soldier has the heart to fight. As a believer we must—absolutely must—be strong in the Lord before we can be clothed with the armor of God and begin to wage war against the enemy. Once we have the presence and the power of God in our heart, it is then that we begin to arm ourselves to wage war against the spiritual enemies of life. Now we must put on the WHOLE ARMOR of God, leaving nothing out. If we leave a piece of the armor off, we expose ourselves to the enemy and stand a good chance of being wounded, perhaps even killed. The charge that is given to us as believers is to be strong in the Lord, in the power of His might. Put on the WHOLE armor of God.

I would encourage you to take some time to look up the following passages to help drive this point across. I’ll leave you with these passages and we will start next time looking at v. 11 and spiritual warfare. Make sure that you are prayed up for that reading. Love to all of you and see you then.

  • Luke 1:37
  • Ephesians 3:16
  • Ephesians 3:20
  • Colossians 1:11
  • 2 Timothy 1:7
  • 2 Samuel 22:40
  • Isaiah 41:10
